I really believe that it's wrong to harm or cheat or lie to another, and that doing a kindness for someone is a human privilege. . .itI never felt this as a Hoho, I felt that I could be despised or disciplined for violating these rules and so obeyed.

ok - first i should mention that this line of *hypothetical* thought may seem extreme, and it's obviously exaggerated to get a point across.

but it's just one of many, many logical constructs i had in my mind, even when i was still active:.

let's say we have a pioneer sister.

I think the hypo story isn't about considering taking innocent lives, but the absurdity of JW beliefs. That could be their next retarded teaching.

There have been really religious nut cases who have killed their children to send them off to the next life.

Update on my sister

a few weeks ago, as you may already know, my sister called me an apostate and told me that she wants nothing to do w/ me.

i have since explained some things to my mother, an active witness, and she respects my concerns and decision.

i've sent text messages to my sister, as well as made a few phone calls to her, but they all have gone unanswered.

well, i guess it's time for me to write the story of how i ended up here.. i was born in 1976 in new orleans.

i was raised in the organazation.

i never knew any different.

yes it's past midnight and i'm getting melancholy and starting to rehash my life of late.

melancholy yes, but i haven't hit the bottle yet so its not alcoholly.

seriously though, i thought i'd offer an apology.

Yeah, it's ok to talk about what burns you; personally this board has done so much for me, the being able to do the same. Someone has responded already that it's the Hoho mentality ito never address your own feelings, to bottle them up, and to only care about others. That's another completely imbalanced view of things sponsored by the WTS.

We're now free to get what we need: To care for others, AND express our feelings and ask for help, advice.

Its a wonderful life.
